In 1959, Sam Rosenberg, an experienced traveling salesman of general merchandise throughout the 1950s, decided to venture into his own successful business before retirement. Despite a few failed start-ups earlier in his adulthood, he founded the S. Rosenberg Christmas Company, importing Christmas and Easter novelties and dolls from Japan.

In April 1963, Sam's son-in-law, Stanley Geller, purchased the business and renamed it Funworld, Easter Unlimited. Stanley continued to travel to Japan by propeller plane to establish strong relationships with local factories and expand the product offerings. He then traversed the roads of the USA, covering the distance from Minneapolis to Miami and Boston to Bentonville, New York to New Orleans, in a station wagon filled with samples, selling the goods. The business grew steadily, thanks to the hard work and dedication of many people.

In 1981, the third generation joined the company, further strengthening its foundation and paving the way for its continued success.
